IFACTO FOOD SOLUTIONS pays attention to protecting your privacy and personal data in all its business relationships. IFACTO FOOD SOLUTIONS respects the confidentiality of your personal data and processes it in accordance with Belgian data protection laws and this Privacy Policy.

  1. Scope of this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy is intended to inform you about how iFacto Food Solutions handles personal data, what information we collect about users of our websites, online applications, apps, and mobile platforms (online services), and how we evaluate and subsequently use, transfer to third parties, or otherwise process that data.

“Personal data” means any data that can identify a natural person. The term “processing” includes, among other things, the collection, recording, organization, storage, updating, modification, retrieval, consultation, use, dissemination or making available in any way, alignment, combination, archiving, deletion, or destruction of personal data.

This Privacy Policy applies to iFacto Food Solutions NV, Veldkant 35B, 2550 Kontich, BE, VAT BE 0848.622.613. It applies when you visit our offices, websites, use our apps and online tools, or use our services. It does not apply to online services provided by third parties.
  2. Collection of Personal Data
2.1 Personal data you provide to us
Normally, providing personal data is not necessary to use our online services. If we collect personal data (name, address, or email address) within our online services, this is done on a voluntary basis. For example, if you wish to receive our offers, we need your email address and information that allows us to ensure that you are the owner of the email address provided.

2.2 Data / personal data collected automatically
For data security and to make our online services user-friendly, we collect non-personal data related to the use of our online services. For example, we collect information about which internet browsers and operating systems are used, the number of visits to our site, the average time spent on the site, and which pages were visited.

Such automatically collected data is not linked to data from other sources. However, we reserve the right to investigate such data retrospectively if we receive concrete indications of unlawful use of our systems and services.

    2.3 Cookies and Web Beacons
Our online services use so-called “browser cookies” and “web beacons.” Cookies do not harm your computer. They are small text files with settings that help make our online services more user-friendly, effective, and secure. Cookies also enable certain usage features. According to the law, we may store cookies on your device if they are strictly necessary for the operation of the site. For all other types of cookies, we require your consent.

Our online services mainly use “session cookies,” which are automatically deleted when the browser is closed. From time to time, we also use “persistent cookies,” which remain on your device until they expire or are manually deleted. They allow us to recognize your browser on a subsequent visit.
Some cookies are placed by third-party services displayed on our pages. For more details about “third-party cookies,” we refer you to the privacy policies of the respective service providers.

You can configure your browser or device privacy settings to notify you when a cookie is sent, allowing you to decide whether to accept it. You can also choose not to accept cookies, either generally or in specific cases, or to automatically delete cookies when closing the browser. Please note that some features of our online services may not function properly if cookies are disabled. For more information, visit aboutcookies.org.

In addition to cookies, we also use “web beacons” (also called “page tags”) to analyze the effectiveness of our website. For example, our HTML emails may contain a web beacon that informs us whether the email was opened. This helps us improve our online services and tailor email content to user preferences. Our regular emails do not contain web beacons.

    2.4 Web Analytics
To continuously improve our applications and usability, some of our online services use web analytics and social plugins listed below. The data used for this is not personal data.

Google Analytics: Google Analytics, a service of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, uses cookies to analyze your use of our online services. Data collected by cookies is usually transferred to and stored on a Google server in the USA. Due to IP anonymization, your IP address is truncated within EU and EEA member states before transmission. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transferred to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. Google uses this information on behalf of the provider to evaluate your use of online services, compile reports, and provide other services related to website and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser is not combined with other Google data. You can prevent cookies via browser settings, but this may limit functionality. You can also install a browser plugin to prevent data collection: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en. More information is available at https://policies.google.com.

2.5 Social Media and Web Presence
IFACTO FOOD SOLUTIONS collaborates with various social media providers. As part of this collaboration, your browser is automatically connected to the selected service provider (e.g., Facebook) when you use the relevant service. For example, your IP address, cookies, and other information are sent to the relevant service provider if you have previously visited their website. We prevent this data transfer as much as possible, and it only occurs when you interact with the social media network. If you are logged in to the relevant social media platform, it may link your visit to our website to your user account.

In addition, we use plugins (such as the Facebook icon) from various platforms. By clicking on the respective icon, you consent to communication with the respective platform and the transfer of information (e.g., IP address) to the respective service provider. By activating a plugin, the respective social network receives the information that the browser has accessed the corresponding page of our website. This is also the case if you do not have an account or are not logged in. This information (including the IP address) is sent directly from the browser to a server of the respective social network and stored there.

If you are logged into one of the social networks during your visit to our website, the social network can directly associate your visit to our website with your network account using the plugin that is active at the same time. If you interact with the plugins, for example by clicking the “Like” button or posting a comment, the corresponding information is also sent directly to a social network server and stored there. The information may also be published on the social network and displayed to your Facebook friends or X followers. The purpose and scope of data collection, as well as the further processing and use of the data by the respective social network, along with your relevant rights and settings options for protecting your privacy, can be found in the data protection information of the respective social network.
